Being an IFS vehicle the Prado 150 has many vulnerable components that if damaged could leave you stranded often in remote locations. 150 Series Prado owners will know the front diff casing sits at the lowest point at the front as a perfect target to take a severe frontal impact. The Brown Davis underbody protection plates completely cover the diff and with a reinforced channel at the front are designed to take that inissel impact.

 

Ramp over angles are very important in all vehicles yet non more so then the Prado 150 Series. With a transfer case and 4WD actuator that hangs down right in the vehicles ramp over, underbody protection is critical. The Brown Davis rear guard is deigned to protect these components when crawling over the steepest ruts. Being 3mm thick they also create a perfect shield from sticks, roots and stumps that regularly get caught under the vehicle.
