The Premium Drop-Down Corner Steady is the latest addition to AL-KO’s extensive range of caravan and trailer accessories. Its multi positioning, double locking pin swivel design and positive direct gear drive ensure that this is one of the most versatile corner steadies available. It also comes complete with it own mounting bracket that can be welded to the chassis. As standard it is fitted with the AL-KO Big Foot™ for extra stability and safety.
The corner steady drop down to any angle and are then locked in place with the quick release red handle. The winder (not included, but a socket will also do the job) is then used for the last section. The legs rotate through the full 180 degrees so the can be mounted on the left or right sides. Each jack comes with a mounting bracket that is usually welded to the chassis and the jacks are then bolted to this with the included bolts. The minimum height when set vertical is 420mm, but it can still operate on the angle at any height, just like the traditional wind down legs. When fully extended vertically it will reach to 590mm. This could be further extended with removable blocks.
Corner steadies are not designed to be used as a jack or as the method of lifting the trailer off the ground. They are designed to stabilize the trailer or caravan when stationary. 590mm Drop Down Corner Steady - has a hex drive, comes complete with a bigfoot making it ideal for softer ground amp; is zinc plated. The Alko leg comes with a mounting plate which can be welded on. The mounting bracket for welding is 110mm x 75mm. If bolting to the frame the bracket is 100 x 65mm with 80mm hole centers.
